Certified Moisture Testing, (CMT) was established to fill the need for experienced, objective assessments of moisture intrusion in residential and commercial buildings. Our mission is to offer a honest, unbiased, data-backed evaluation of any moisture issues that exist in a building.

Misleading or overstated moisture reports are a serious problem to homeowners causing unnecessary, expensive repairs and can delay the sale of a home. To provide our customers with the most accurate evaluation possible, CMT only uses state-of-the-art testing equipment including protimeters, wet wall scanners, infrared cameras, borescopes, and structural resistance testers. Applying approved techniques, inspectors use this equipment to assess moisture levels and verify any suspected damage to the home's wood structure.

Part of this damage assessment is made by the inspector's “unseen feel” of the structural wood. This technique is an “art’’ only learned through extensive experience and proper training.

Certified Moisture Testing strictly adheres to the quality standards and practices of the Exterior Design Institute, American Wall and Ceiling, and Moisture Free Warranty. Some or all of CMT inspectors are licensed and certified by these various national organizations for moisture testing and analysis.
